my site crit.

The crit with thomas and mike on tuesday went ok, my site was fully functioning and they said it worked quite well as a design. But all good points have an opposite, and for me these were only a handfull of small things that i was advised to consider changing. The typeface used within my website is very decorative and could become a problem to read for some users, so the information on each page could be changed to something simple and elegable such as helvetica. Another bad point was the white area behind the interface which could easily be changed to match my black background, so that my site didnt look small and as though it was floating.

Obviously if i had more time to complete this project i would have stuck to my original idea of incorperating a lightbox effect, which would activate once an image was clicked.

The Website.

Starting the module with no idea on how to create a website or how to use fireworks and dreamweaver, I would say that my shot at creating a website within the short 6 week period has been a success. Although my website is fully functional with roll overs and links, I feel as though I could have taken it to another level as I have now gained the knowledge on how to use the programs fireworks/dreamweaver. This short project has been a learning process for me as I have never produced work such as this before, and I am now equipped for similar projects in the future. Overall I am very pleased with the work that I have produced throughout the project as my layout is simple and website is functioning.
